Job Description
Moody’s Analytics is an established leader in customer data solutions bringing transparent data, predictive analytics, and flexible workflow tools to the market to power better decisions.
The solution architect will play a critical role supporting the Moody's Strategic Account sales team account in positioning MA workflows, data, and services. The Solution Architect will lead complex workshops and proof of concepts engagements with MA strategic accounts. They will liaise with internal team to promote new business cases and influence product roadmaps.
They will a trusted advisor to offer deep industry workflows expertise alongside a deep technical expertise and sound understanding of MA data, products and services.
The Solution Architect:
  • Will provide best-in-class sales cycle support to Proof of Concept, evaluation, solution design and prototyping stages working closely with the key customer stakeholders and partners. The solution Architect will review functional and technical queries of RFIs and RFPs to ensure consistency across Moody's product and services.
  • Will perform business requirement gathering and analysis from strategic client, understanding end-user workflows taking into account customer’s existing and target state infrastructure to deliver optimal design proposals to clients. The Solution Architect will interface internally with product, research, partnerships, advisory, and customer success teams to expose customer challenges and find optimal Moody’s solutions and obtain required approvals of non-standard designs.
  • The solution Architect will build relationships with key customers stakeholders (Chief Technology Officer/Chief Data Officer/Chief Transformation Officer) serving as an MA Ambassador.
  • The Solution Architect will also ensure that learning lessons from activities with Strategic account are cascaded internally (failures or successes). They will contribute to identify short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action. Learnings lessons can be shared using decks or formal newsletter internally depending on the audience.
  • As part of his work with Strategic Client the Solutions Architect will be involved in new product offering. In these phases of product infancy the solution architect will be involved in contributing to its value proposition, architecture, and facilitates market feedback using rapid learning approach to product development.
  • The solution Architect will provide support to Strategic sales team in terms of mapping customer's use of tools and data flows to expand penetration and influence in client environments, and to create new revenue streams. They will also maintain awareness of groups key technical and technology initiatives.
  • Will act as a trusted advisor to the client and serve as the technical ambassador for Moody’s Analytics solution suite. The solution Architect will provide thought leadership on best practices and technical assistance and guidance as required and keep up to date with industry technology trends. The solution Architect will also act as a liaison from pre-sales to early implementation phases.
  • The solution Architect is responsible for growing Strategic Account sales through proactive engagement with customers alongside the Strategic sales team. Solution Architect will participate in strategic and tactical account planning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop collaborative relationships at senior management levels, both within MA and with external clients, particularly with client project managers, engineering, enterprise architects, and IT operations.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills in sales environment including the ability to meet a business requirement with a technical solution. Demonstrated track record of creatively developing and implementing advanced solutions.
  • Ability to Travel
  • Strong presentation, communication skills.
  • As a Solutions Architect, you will require cross-solutions level technical understanding and expertise across multiple products, and cloud deployment options (hybrid cloud, database, and public cloud). Ability to respond quickly to changing customer demands and market conditions.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field; MBA a plus.
Experience
  • Strong understanding of Moody’s Analytics and/or competitive product offerings, as well as integration options and best practices to drive additional value for complex clients.
  • Experience working for a software company; experience in Risk, Banking or Finance, Master Data Management, CRM domain is a plus. Proficiency in software configuration.
  • 12+ years of experience as a solutions architect, sales engineer, or customer facing role in implementation or product development.
  • Experience in various business disciplines, sales, technology, project management and implementation needed.
  • Systems Administration and Enterprise Architecture
  • Well-versed in data integration technology, especially with services-oriented architectures (SOA), Web Services standards, enterprise messaging, and third-party application integration.
  • Solid understanding of modern scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#)
  • Experience with database programming and data models.
  • Experience with client-side web technologies and troubleshooting techniques.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $181,300 to $271,050, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
