Senior Compliance Associate - Private Funds Marketing Review/Sec Marketing Rule

Our elite global Alternative Investment Management client is seeking to recruit a Senior Compliance Associate to lead and oversee firmwide investor marketing compliance (fundraising materials, marketing collateral, investor communications, etc.) in accordance with the SEC Marketing Rule under the Investment Advisers Act.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures for the marketing and offering of private fund investments, including foreign offerings
• Support special projects
• Assist with operational due diligence and participate in meetings with key stakeholders
• Assist in-house and outside counsel with managing Form ADV updates
• Assist with in-house legal counsel to draft fund documents
• Collaborate with legal and operations to develop Investment Advisers Act policies and procedures
• Provide compliance and regulatory support to the firm's investor relations, fundraising and marketing teams in accordance with the SEC Marketing Rule under the Investment Advisers Act
• Provide compliance support during the launch and closing of private investment funds process
• Assist outside counsel to ensure fund filings are maintained properly
• Assist the fundraising operations team with developing RFPs, DDQs and marketing materials in compliance with federal and state securities laws
• Plan and coordinate advisory board meetings

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Advanced project management skills
• Fundamental understanding of private equity, hedge fund, and real estate investment private funds
• J.D. preferred but not required
• Broad understanding of investment fund compliance and regulatory requirements
• Highly motivated, organized and detail oriented
• Demonstrated knowledge of the SEC Marketing Rule under the Investment Advisers Act
• 2+ years of marketing compliance and regulatory support in the alternative investment management and/or private funds industry
