Job Summary:

Pratt & Whitney Puerto Rico is seeking a Senior Associate, Procurement Buyer who will be responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity. Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family. Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost. May perform delivery assurance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.
• Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using ACE tools and support AS9100 efforts. Obtain ACE Associate certification.
• Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required.
• Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
• Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.
• Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience using MS Office in PowerPoint and Excel.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business Administration or Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, business administration, finance, or accounting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Strong administrative skills: Must be able to manage multiple tasks and adhere to specific timetables.
• Preferred fields in BA include: Finance, Accounting and Information Technology.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Extremely detail and process oriented.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). The selected candidate must reside in Puerto Rico.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 62,000 USD - 124,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
