Buyer/ Procurement Specialist Jobs

Primary Services is happy to announce an exciting position as a Procurement/ Buying Specialist! In this role, you will support the Procurement team in executing purchase orders, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials and services. As part of our dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in optimizing our procurement processes and contributing to the success of our projects!

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile any delivery and invoicing issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.
• Communicate and coordinate material delivery schedules with trades and suppliers.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise, such as expediting orders and escalating supply constraints, seeking alternative logistics if necessary.
• Execute purchase orders with our distributor and third-party warehouse service providers.
• Address accounts receivable and accounts payable reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
• Report ongoing purchase orders to management, tracking open and closed purchase orders.
• Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure deliveries align with assigned purchase orders and report any backorders or missing products.
• Collaborate with Finance to resolve payment issues and work with suppliers and trade partners to address invoices.
• Assist with change of vendor requests and approvals within purchasing guidelines.
• Maintain organized purchase order records to meet auditable standards.
• Review and accurately prepare purchase orders based on material and service requisitions.
• Provide weekly PO status summaries to the Materials Manager.
• Perform other necessary tasks or duties as assigned.
• Maximize cost savings by ensuring the use of fixed pricing agreements with vendors.
• Process internal and external dealer orders, verifying purchase requisitions and tracking order acknowledgments.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5 to 7 years in procurement or supply chain management roles.
• General knowledge of manufacturing flow process and company practices.
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain Management and Procurement Processes.
• Strong knowledge of data, reporting, analytics, and intermediate Excel skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with MRP systems, scheduling, and capacity planning principles.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Education: bachelor's degree
• Experience using Salesforce and Supply Chain MRP systems preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of finance and general accepted accounting principles.

Salary: $25.00 per hour
