Procurement Analyst Jobs

What we’re looking for:

• Other categories such as Professional Services and Hardware may be supported as needed.
• The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the creation and execution of category procurement strategies including but not limited to specific Information Systems/Technology Software and Software Service categories.
• Reporting to the Indirect Procurement Sourcing Manager and in support of Toyota’s Future of Mobility, the person in this role will support the IPSS (Indirect Procurement Shared Services) department objective to provide innovative, stable and flexible solutions with industry-leading practices with an eye on reducing costs and mitigating risks.
• Indirect Procurement Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated procurement analyst.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing and implementing multi-year sourcing strategies for responsible spend categories.
• Process business requests to issue purchase orders to suppliers.
• Designing, planning, managing, and leading key Requests for Proposal, information, quote, etc. with cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate pricing and achieve cost savings while mitigating financial and legal risks for the enterprise.
• Identify innovative options to achieve business benefits and evaluate consistently based on predefined criteria.
• Effectively manage all sourcing and price negotiation activities and in-coming ad hoc business unit requests that may result in a contract or purchase order.
• Understand implementation methodology and technology for Purchasing system (Ariba) and on-going support
• Supporting the development and execution of contractual documents including Non-Disclosure, SaaS Agreements, Software License Agreements, Services Agreements, and other contracts as necessary to support Procurement and business needs.
• Effectively diagnose issues and identify the root cause and countermeasures.
• Collaborate closely with business key stakeholders and supplier partners to understand current conditions, identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, and deliver enhancements to improve quality and productivity.
• Provide detailed documentation of how the applications/projects will support business requirements.

Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills:

• Demonstrated experience investigating root causes for production critical incidents, and implementation of countermeasures
• Ability to work independently and successfully manage several projects and/or tasks of varying complexities simultaneously while balancing the workload, constraints and deliverables.
• Experience with, but not limited to, procurement of software and related technology services.
• Experience with troubleshooting complex integrated applications/processes.
• Demonstrated success influencing key stakeholders on strategic direction based on recommendations backed by in-depth analysis.
• Strong collaboration, communication (written and verbal) and influencing skills.
• Exceptional analytic, organization, presentation and interpersonal skills with applied solid judgement and strategic thinking.
• Experience gathering business, functional/technical requirements, and implementing relevant solutions.
• Proven experience providing technical leadership and guidance to team members and project peers.
• Experience with Ariba and Coupa (or similar tools).

Added bonus if you have (Preferred):

• Contract drafting and negotiation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
• Analytical skills to build business solutions to best support business vision and strategy.
• 5 or more years’ experience in Indirect Sourcing
• Automotive industry experience
• Ability to work with large, distributed teams with diverse competencies, skills, and ability to work in fast-paced/high-pressure culture.
