Job Description

Position Summary:

The Buyer provides administrative support to the Procurement Department by processing and facilitating contract execution and ensuring compliance for operational services and CapEx projects. The role is responsible for processing capital spending requests, contract administration, and running purchase order reports that support timely payments and project completion.

Job Duties:

Prepare, review, and execute contract and Purchase Order requests submitted by Project Facilitators and ensure
contracts/POs are compliant with scope of work, fee schedules, maps, insurance, and other policies set by the
Legal Department.
  • Process requests for capital project funding, known as capital spending approvals (CSA), by reviewing and
distributing the documents for Executive approval.
  • Manage the Request For Quote (RFQ) process for large capital projects, including a bid analysis for the Project
Facilitator to select a vendor/contractor.
  • Identifies open purchase orders and works with Project Facilitators and on-site teams to close contracts and pay
final invoices.
  • Support ICAC Procurement with operational commodity budgeting and vendor management.
  • Prepares metrics reporting that shows trending of projects for Project Managers, Maintenance Operations
Directors, and Landscape Managers.
  • Completes special projects as assigned from the Director of Procurement, Senior Director of Procurement, or
  • Prepare reporting regularly that shows the status of capital projects and where they are in the process.
Senior Vice President of Maintenance Services.
  • Perform system testing and validation for the CapEx project software.
  • Support Fire Life Safety contracts and processes.
  • Support the Apartment Communities with their requests & questions submitted to the team in-box.


Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

A degree in Business Administration is a plus.


Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $29.04 - $36.06


Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
