Pay Rate: $ 24.00 / hour (contract)
We have partnered with a manufacturer of controls systems company in the Carrollton, TX area to provide them with a Buyer. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills For The Buyer
#1. Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS word, and industry standard purchase order software platforms (Macola platforms is a plus).
#2. Strong negotiating skills
Responsibilities Of The Buyer
The individual will work in a project management and operation team environment, so a positive attitude and teamwork spirit is essential. This position will require you to be responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.

• Support ISO 9001 audit(s)
• Generate purchase orders and issue to venders with controlled documents
• Maintain MRP system and update material shortage list
• Collect quotations from approved vendor list
• Negotiate price and lead time to minimize material cost
• Follow up on obsolete parts with engineers
• Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products
• Follow up with vendors for on time delivery and contact vendor for any quality issues

Requirements Of The Buyer

• Strong negotiating skills
• Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS word, and industry standard purchase order software platforms (Macola platforms is a plus).
• Knowledgeable in procurement process for electrical components and power supplies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledgeable in Bill Of Material for mechanical parts like cabinet, frame, racks, bezels
• Knowledgeable in procurement process for Printed Circuit Board
• Ability to work well with a team
• Knowledgeable in vendor qualification process

Other Key Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite.
• No Sponsorship or Visa holders.
