Senior Accountant (hybrid)

Our client, a global civil engineering firm located in the northern suburbs of Chicago, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team! This person will assist with the management of the overall financial reporting operations of the company and supports the efforts of the Controller and Associate Controller. This position is on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares and analyzes monthly financial statements and other standard reports
• Performs balance sheet account reconciliations and other account analyses to ensure accurate financial statements in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
• Participates in financial system evaluations, testing, and implementation
• Develops and documents business and accounting procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Supports the Controller and Associate Controller with the month-end close process, including compiling data, posting journal entries, and preparing supplementary reports
• Performs other ad-hoc responsibilities as needed to support department and company initiatives

Requirements:

• Professional services+
• Experience in Deltek Vision preferred
• Project based work
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting or MEC and B/S account recs experience
• Foreign entity + (UK Entity)
• QBs +

Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000 base salary plus 5-10% bonus
