Description
The Sales Manager at LabArchives will drive sales in the Northeastern US territory to achieve profitable growth and revenue targets, in this lucrative, well-established geography. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will be tasked to win new business and establish & grow customer relationships for our industry leading research management platform.
In this role you will get to:
- Effectively work with the wider business to feedback marketing and product intelligence insights
- Build and manage account and customer relationships
- Report as required sales and operational metrics
- Represent LabArchives at conferences and exhibitions
- Prepare and present detailed proposals to individuals, executive teams, decision makers and stakeholders
- Undertake outbound focused sales activity within the Northeast US region, developing and executing effective strategies for prospecting, client engagement, negotiations and closing sales
- Conduct application demonstrations / training seminars, sales presentations, and support to deliver solutions to improve outcomes for the customer
We are looking for people who have 3+ years’ experience of enterprise sales within the scientific software industry, with primary markets being biotech commercial, academia and research markets. You will have a consultative sales approach and a proven record of success in achieving sales goals. You will also demonstrate:
- Willingness for frequent travel
- Scientific background, undergraduate degree or understanding of scientific laboratories is preferred
- Familiarity in effectively using CRM software applications
- The ability to develop a deep understanding of LabArchives products and how this translates to the needs of our customers
- Problem-solving skills; able to manage several projects simultaneously, function well in a fast-paced environment
- Experience selling enterprise SaaS based solutions within a complex sales process – a history of selling ELN or LIMS a distinct advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with experience presenting products in person and online
- Strong selling and negotiation skills with the ability to engage high-level decision makers
- Proven experience developing and executing strategies for sales growth
