We are looking for a strong leader who will manage and direct the sales, design and customer service teams to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives in support of the President/General Manager's stategic plan and division goals.   • Facilitate sales meetings; plan and participate in customer entertainment events and functions. (may include evenings and weekends)
  • Develop a Sales Budget and assume accountability for follow-through on goals and forecasts.
  • Manage sales volume with existing customers while emphasizing volume growth and profitability of territory through prospecting new customers.
  • Develop reports and tools that provide data to strategically discuss opportunities with the management team which lead to new profitable revenue growth.
  • Support and identify drivers to develop a highly engaged sales team. Assist in setting the standards for performance; holding the sales team accountable to those standards; and quantifying results.
  • Coach teams in best practices and effective tactics for prospecting new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Establishes team targets and metrics to measure the achievement of objectives.
  • Participate in pricing and work with Sales Representatives, Customer Service and Design to improve margins. Support and implement price changes as necessary. Negotiate as needed for a win/win outcome.
  • Learn, and where possible apply, all available GBP corrugated competitive product offerings.
  • Collaborate with the President/GM to create commercial plans to deliver strong business results across the Division.
  • Responsible for selecting, training, mentoring, and motivating the sales, Design and Customer Service teams.


The ideal candidate must be able to manage multiple people/tasks and several departments. This position requires an individual with strong leadership abilities, motivation, and the ability to coach and develop others. You must be organized to stay close to direct report's activities. Strong knowledge of the corrugated or packaging business is preferred, and you must be able to stay focused and execute the department and division's strategic plans.


Skills And Abilities


Education BA or BS degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.


Experience


  • 5-10 successful years in a direct sales position with significant experience in opening new accounts.
  • Sales Management experience within packaging industries is a plus.
  • A strong overall commercial background and business acumen is desired.


Computer Skills Strong PC skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Other Requirements A clean (Non reckless or DUI) driving record and good to excellent personal credit score is important.


The Fort Worth Division is strategically located in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex to conveniently service businesses in the Texas markets, and is an industry-leading, fully equipped corrugating plant that manufactures a wide range of corrugated packaging products.


The Controller for the Ft. Worth Division will be responsible for the accounting operations of the division, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, development of comprehensive controls and budgets, and enhancement of the accuracy of the company's reported financial results. This position will also maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. Additionally, this position will oversee the Accounting & Payroll Departments and play a key role in supporting the Vice-President General Manager's orginizational plans.


  • Ensure accounting department is trained and operates in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
  • Communicate with customers regarding invoicing and past due accounts receivable.
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Coordinate capital project proposals for Corporate approval.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulatory authorities.
  • Oversee operations of the accounting department, including an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department goals and objectives.
  • Provide oversite for Accounting and Payroll functions.
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements.
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual reporting to the corporate office.


The ideal candidate will possess


  • Demonstrated knowledge of tax codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements as well as effectively write reports and present financial information.
  • CPA (active license), perferred
  • Ability to evaluate financial alternatives and recognize financial trends and performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field, required
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as BRC.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with accounting/ management software systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with customers and supplier counterparts as well as plant team members on all levels, on a daily basis.
  • Ability to calculate financial figures such as discounts, interest, commissions,proportions, precentages, area, volume, and net present value.
  • A minimum of 10years of experience directing an accounting department, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
