We function like a vendor-side research agency but with the benefit of having a deep understanding and connection to the businesses we support so that our implications can have the greatest impact.


Our research supports three primary verticals: our iconic consumer-facing brands, corporate initiatives, and philanthropic work, which is at the heart of working at Wonderful. We leverage both primary and secondary data sets to ensure that the voice of the consumer is represented in everything that we do. The Researcher role is a great opportunity for someone who doesn’t mind being in the weeds of the data and is looking to become a well-rounded qual and quant researcher.


Our office is located at 11444 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90064. This position will participate in our HYBRID work model (Mon-Wed in office, Thu-Fri remote).



  • Manage invoicing tracking to ensure that billing is handled in a timely manner.
  • Support qualitative (e.g., focus groups, in-depth interviews, online panels) and quantitative (e.g., concept tests, brand trackers, analytics) ad hoc research projects for our iconic brands, corporate initiatives, and philanthropy research.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Brand Health Program, a longitudinal study that combines syndicated and primary data sources to track brand and category health. Responsibilities include program checking, managing questionnaire updates and tracking, field management, and reporting. Provide support on ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Assist with qualitative coordination, which includes managing recruitment and day-of logistics (e.g., prepare stimuli, coordinate client needs forms).
  • Be hands-on in the data collection process to ensure that data collected is held to the highest quality standards; this includes support programming surveys on Survey Monkey, conducting quality checks on programmed survey links, and checking data tabs for accuracy.
  • Develop secondary research reports by summarizing readily available data sources to deepen clients’ market knowledge (e.g., innovation deep-dives, competitive brand and product analyses).
  • Prepare research reports and visualize data in PowerPoint, focusing only on critical insights that help move the business forward.


Qualifications
  • Must be very detail oriented without sacrificing a broad strategic perspective.
  • Exposure to both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and interest in analyzing large data sets of both primary and secondary data.
  • Proven flexibility and willingness to switch gears with the needs of the business.
  • Travel for in-field market research, when necessary 10-15% approximately.
  • 1-3 years of experience in consumer and market research required.
  • Experience with IRI or Nielsen a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Needs to work well autonomously, and bring a strong, conscientious work ethic.
  • Vendor-side and agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be very well organized and have the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Expert in PowerPoint, including strong data visualization skills.
  • Understands how to read a questionnaire and check for logic.


Pay Rate: $38.47 - $45.67 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
