The Role
We have an exciting new opening for an Analyst of Retail & Market Insights. As a member of the Licensing & Merchandising team, you’ll be providing sales invaluable insights to inform product mix, marketing strategy, media optimization, retail pitches, new customer acquisition & retention by data analytics, integration and insights. You will work and collaborate with internal stakeholders, allowing visibility and opportunities to work across key business units within Moonbug.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently, have great communication and relationship building. The candidate must also be proactive, strategic and great at working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This role will report full-time ON-SITE at our West Hollywood Office.
Requirements
  • Interpret market research into licensing and merchandising strategies
  • Align analysis with Moonbug finance and data teams
  • Assist the Licensing and Merchandising team with sales performance analysis by monitoring item and category productivity to identify risks and opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Coordinate with the internal data & analytics team to evaluate consumer data and market insights into actionable deliverables for the licensing and retail teams
  • Gain an understanding of internal & industry reporting and how the data sets can be leveraged to better understand Moonbug’s licensing business
  • Design, prepare, maintain reports, and analyze data to drive commercial insights to improve decision making and maximize retail placement and sales
  • Support the Director of Retail Development in the creation of retail go-to-market strategies
  • Learn about the needs of our customer by providing retail-centric insights and solutions through a deep understanding of the data
Qualifications
  • Self-starter and effective communicator
  • Experience analyzing and evaluating consumer data and developing actionable insight
  • 2+ years of relevant analytics experience in related fields (e.g. marketing / sales, market research, business analytics, strategic planning)
  • Comfortable working with large datasets
  • Sense of humor and desire to have fun!
  • Experience in consumer products and retail an added bonus
  • Experience in relevant industry quantitative and qualitative research (e.g. Circana Group)
  • Highly computer/Excel literate, confident with V-Look ups and Pivot tables a must
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication of insight to influence strategy
