Apex Systems is looking for a Remote Sr. Business Analyst

Qualifications

• Working with accounting/finance business units is ideal
• Able to work as a liaison between business units and technical resources
• Ability to read/write SQL is nice to have
• Must have background in Financial Services and/or Accounting industry experience
• Extensive experience gathering and validating requirements
• Understanding of Data related projects
• 10+ years experience Business Analysis experience in a technical environment

Other Experience:

• Training and/or exposure to business systems analysis
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment
• Excellent written/oral communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in an IT or business discipline, or equivalent education/experience
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities within deadlines

Responsibilities

• Adhere to documented SDLC practices for project and support work using Agile or Waterfall methodology.
• Elicit, capture, analyze, refine, articulate, and documents business requirements, use cases and/or user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in the preparation of requirements and process flow documentation in written and/or graphical form (flows).
• Assist in conducting business and gap analysis to align information technology solutions with business initiative; suggest and implement ideas to solve for process gaps and system gaps.
• Assist in tasks between IT capabilities and business objectives to facilitate improvements through process or system solutions to increase overall quality and meet business partner demands.
• Create end-user documentation (e.g., user guides, process flow charts, training materials, etc.)
• May participate in sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews and retrospectives. Assist in backlog grooming
• May work with the testing (QE) team to develop system integration test scripts; ensure testing results correspond to the expectations of the business.
• Work with a senior member of the team to receive knowledge transfer for specific application(s) work. Maintain a general understanding of the technology that supports the business needs.
