Business Systems Analyst | Remote

We have an opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst for a DHS client. This position is fully remote working with a DHS Client in Washington, DC.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Conducts analysis of business and user needs, requirements documentation, and existing system logic difficulty revision as necessary.
• Participate in discussions with developers, program managers, designers, and stakeholders, making decisions together to deliver valuable work products to clients and their users.
• Utilize DHS Maestro tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Big Picture, etc.) and DHS MS Teams.
• Ability to explain and document complex methodologies in simple words.
• Assist with redesigning business processes.
• Ability to understand client needs and pain points to recommend requirements in DHS data systems.
• Assist the Project Manager with monitoring project scope, feasibility assessment and contingency plans, constraints, schedules, issues, approvals, and communication management.
• Liaison with the technical development team by articulating operational and mission needs.
• Utilize process improvement, reengineering methodologies, and internet-related methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects.
