Description

Discovery Education is looking for a Project Manager, Science Techbook to join our Product team. The Project Manager, Science Techbook works as part of the Product Management and Development Team to support the development of Discovery Education’s Techbook digital services and print products. The individual is responsible for planning and managing Science Techbook projects, including creating and managing development schedules, identifying, and mitigating risks to outcomes or deliverables, collaborative problem-solving, managing project budgets, vendor communication and coordination, and communicating status to stakeholders.

This role will sit in our Charlotte NC headquarters with a hybrid schedule.

What You Will Do

  • Employ project management best-practices and establish processes that improve efficiencies when needed.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership.
  • Strong proficiency in use of multiple types of software
  • Anticipate unintended implications/complications and socialize risk to determine best outcomes.
  • Experience with project tracking software or methodologies.

  • Facilitate change requests to ensure all stakeholders are aware of impacts to budget and schedule.
