Summary

Reporting to the Director, Project Management, the Project Engineer is responsible for capital equipment projects from order receipt until shipment and final documentation. The Project Engineer will review project requirements and documentation, develop product specifications for suppliers, and support the Project Manager to ensure on-time project completion.

Essential Functions

• Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for drawings and components of equipment designed and selected in house
• Generating project engineering documentation, such as, Valve List, Instrument List, Interconnect List, etc.
• Review Cosmodyne and supplier issued drawings and documentation to ensure they comply with project requirements and industry regulations
• Generate project schedule and project meeting MOMs (Minutes of Meeting)
• Limited domestic travel to meet with customers and suppliers
• Assist in preparation of equipment specifications to incorporate project requirements and release specifications for quotation and procurement
• Work as a liaison between departments and suppliers, to address project design requirements
• Manage supplier inquiries regarding project requirements

Required Knowledge And Critical Skills/Expertise

• Skilled in time management, prioritizing and managing changing priorities
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Experience with cryogenic plants and equipment a plus
• Experience with the design and procurement of mechanical equipment (e.g., valves, piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers) preferred

Experience And Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering

Work Environment

This job operates in both a professional office environment and a manufacturing/production environment. Commitment to safety is essential. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Compensation: $66,208 to $91,685
