Project Engineer Jobs

We are actively seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our client’s growing team in Vista. Our client is a highly successful general engineering and construction contracting firm. They specialize in grading, demolition, 3D modeling for construction, civil engineering, and turnkey projects. They service a comprehensive range of project sizes and scopes and have completed a variety of projects in the commercial, industrial, public works, and military sectors.
The starting salary is between $90-130k (negotiable based upon experience). This is a full-time, permanent position that includes great benefits, 401k matching, and other perks.
Essential Functions: To be considered, candidate must be able to comprehend Civil Grading Plans As the point of contact on assigned projects, performs a variety of highly skilled duties such as: assembling, coordinating, and managing multidisciplinary technical review teams Facilitates and troubleshoots the myriad of problems associated with developing complex systems or with coordinating and development, and design projects Provides highly skilled technical and management advice and assistance to department management and personnel Responds to inquiries about projects Shares various project review and pre-submittal meetings Establishes and maintains liaison as required with boards, clients, and field crew Assists in developing departmental plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures Performs project design for civil engineering projects Coordinates schedules of staff and other interested parties Participate in engineering and general design review as required. Refine and complete schedules after work plans, and project narratives. Competencies: Project Management Technical Capacity – Microsoft/Projects Communication Proficiency Problem-Solving/Analysis
Supervisory Responsibility
No direct supervisory duties, though management of projects includes directing project related activities of the project team members.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out-of-the-area and overnight travel.
Required Education and Experience: High school graduation, or its equivalent At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and construction, including at least two years of experience in project management/ responsible in engineering experience or a related field; or graduate from an accredited university with a degree in civil engineering or related field or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
