This entry-level position is responsible for performing basic engineering tasks associated with performance contracting projects focused in the wastewater or industrial process marketplace.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary duties.


  • Support resolution of technical issues (RFIs) at site.
  • Approving technical aspects of field changes proposed by construction that are within delegated authority.
  • Support execution of project specific Data Collection Plans by performing assigned on-site or remote data collection activities.
  • Support development and/or review of Detailed Design Documents by executing activities assigned by the project’s Engineering Manager.
  • Support Procurement activities by reviewing submittal documents as assigned by the project’s Engineering Manager.
  • Gathering, checking and assisting in preparing Turn-Over documentation.
  • Ensure proper information is being provided to the construction and testing personnel.
  • Support development of Biological Process and Energy Baseline Models / Calculations by refining raw data into inputs for the models / calculations.
  • Support development and / or review of front end engineering to determine project feasibility and establish project boundaries of Scope, Budget, Schedule, etc by executing activities assigned by the project’s Solutions Architect and/or Engineering Manager.
  • Gather and update all as-built information and updating documents as required.
  • Support project closeout activities as a field engineer when assigned the following items by project’s Construction Project Manager:
  • Support Startup and Commissioning activities by configuring commissioning data repository, creating commissioning test procedures, and assembling commissioning reports as assigned by project’s Commissioning Manager.
  • Support Construction Administration / Observation activities as a field engineer, when assigned the following items by project’s Engineering Manager:


The U.S. compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 for candidates located within the U.S. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.


EDUCATION:


  • Four-year degree chemical engineering or civil engineering with water / wastewater focus


EXPERIENCE:


  • Limited relevant work experience in wastewater or industrial process marketplace


SKILLS & ABILITIES:


  • Limited understanding of wastewater process and SCADA / instrument & control systems
  • Excellent organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization.
  • Basic understanding of Project Development and Startup / Commissioning processes.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Basic ability to use Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to listen effectively and solicit input from others.
  • Ability to understand multiple disciplines (i.e. process, architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control, etc) drawings, scope of work documents and schematics.
  • Basic understanding of Performance Contracting.
