JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Project Engineer with M Moser, you will play a key role in assisting our Construction Manager, allowing us to execute our design build solutions through to their implementation. Working closely with our Construction Manager, you will implement innovative construction techniques and exceptional project execution for highly complex workplace transformations. It will be your job as the Project Engineer to assist in the day-to-day project needs, ensuring seamless and on-time delivery, within scope and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating RFI answers to the field personnel and revising construction documents accordingly.
- Assist the Construction Manager oversee changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Assist the Construction Manager to perform overall quality control, including (budget, schedule, plans, site inspections and report regularly on project status
- Organize and Attend project meetings and provide minutes for distribution internally and externally.
- Develop and update supply chain database, materials and cost database
- Coordinate, Track and Log all project documentation including RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, Drawing Revisions, 3rd Party Inspection Reports, and similar project documentation.
- Compose RFI’s to the consultants when engaged by a subcontractor
- Qualifying proposals received by subcontractors against the construction documents
- Monitor projects compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
JOB REQUIRMENTS
The successful Project Engineer must have a strong working knowledge of construction management with exceptional time and management skills. Apart from past experience and capabilities, to be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is a big-picture thinker with an eye for detail and an ability to effectively communicate their observations, ideas, questions and concerns to the broader Team. This role could be a great fit for an Engineer who has advanced within a more traditional engineering firm or for a Project Engineer working within a typical Construction firm who is ready to expand into a more holistic and strategic role with an internationally recognized design build firm.
Qualifications and Key Competencies:
- Organized work approach with the ability to adapt and adjust as required to support the projects current needs.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures
- Experience with the entire project lifecycle, from pre-lease services through post-occupancy
- 3+ years of work experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or similar.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to effectively interact with team members and project stakeholders internally and externally.
- A desire and ability to seek out and resolve complex issues, construction problems, or conflicts that arise during design and construction phases.
- Experience in leading and managing contractors, subcontractors and vendors to create a cohesive delivery team
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Timberscan, SAGE, Microsoft Project, and/or similar construction software
- Able to communicate and work effectively with senior leadership and members of our global team
- Site experience in the field working hand in hand with construction partners
- Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred
Compensation Range: $65,000 to $90,000 per year.
