Project Engineer - Responsibilities and Duties:

Work with Project Managers to execute a successful project that is designed accurately and delivered on-time.Typical tasks include:


  • Developing Bill of Material documentation for purchasing to procure equipment
  • Equipment electrical design, instrumentation selection, and PLC implementation
  • Drafting using CAD for customer and fabrication submittals
  • Commissioning and troubleshooting installed systems both mechanically and electrically in an industrial plant environment.
  • Interfacing with clients and vendors
  • Aiding Project Manager with organization of project files
  • Equipment mechanical design, sizing of piping, valves, and pumps
  • Performing and accurately documenting quality assurance inspections
  • Writing and assembling project specific operation and maintenance manuals
  • Training plant operations, maintenance and instrumentation staff to independently and confidently take ownership of our supplied systems.
  • Reading and comprehending project specifications and implementing into project design


Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge and technical proficiency in CAD, MS Word, Excel.Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy is critical.
  • Excellent organization skills and follow through
  • Willing to travel throughout the world for product inspections and commissioning/servicing of our systems; travel potentially 30%
  • Capable of lifting 75 lbs.
  • BS Engineering (Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) a plus
  • Work well with others and flexible to changing priorities
  • Aptitude for hands-on design challenges and troubleshooting equipment
  • Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in written form.
