Mount Sinai Innovation Partners (MSIP) works with Mount Sinai Health System innovators to translate research projects into healthcare products and services that benefit patients and society. The Strategic Alliances and Program Management team within MSIP manages important internal initiatives and high-value partnerships with external organizations.
The Program Manager (PM) works closely with external partners, Mount Sinai faculty and teams within MSIP (Business Development, Intellectual Property, Transactions, Marketing & Outreach, Administrative and Finance & Operations). The PM is responsible for critical administrative as well as program and project management support to advance technologies and support alliances.
A successful Program Manager is a positive, energetic, self-starter that takes ownership and initiative; anticipates individual and business needs; identifies and alleviates obstacles and manages issues and opportunities. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. The Program Manager works openly and transparently to build and maintain trust with internal colleagues and external parties. The PM understands the goals of Mount Sinai and works to ensure that all activities are aligned to accomplish these goals in a productive and efficient manner.
This position reports to the Senior Director of the Strategic Alliances and Program Management Team.
Responsibilities include:
· Working with key stakeholders to establish a clear strategic focus, program goals and success metrics.
· Setting up and facilitating key discussions; capturing meeting decisions and action items
· Supporting project implementation and providing updates to leadership
· Identifying project risks or points of disagreement and addressing them in a time-sensitive manner, engaging leadership as needed.
· Creating critical business processes and tools to track milestones and key objectives.
· Acting as the primary point of contact with internal and external partners to coordinate, communicate and document program/alliance matters.
· Performing other related duties as assigned, demonstrating agility and adaptability as the position requires based on organizational needs.
· Acting as a MSIP brand ambassador, who always reflects the brand - in appearance, language, work ethic and behavior.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or greater preferred, or combination of applicable work experience and education. Master’s degree, a plus
· 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or academic healthcare sectors.
· Significant project/program management experience. Highly organized and proven ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Proven ability to establish and sustain effective relationships with colleagues and external parties.
· Ability to work in a virtual office setting as well as regular office environment.
· Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must have experience scheduling meetings and managing virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, SmartSheet, OneDrive)
