The Community Engagement team is searching for an Associate Program Manager to lead the execution of business priorities across its first party internal events as well as external fellowship programs, events, and sponsorships at academic conferences around the world that align to the organization’s priorities.
This role will spend 75% of time focused on driving impact within the program fellowship portfolio. The remainder of time will be distributed across other internal and external communication engagement programs including support of strategic programs such as workshops, company sponsored academia conferences, and first party events with external audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Drive impact through program/project management of our strategic fellowship programs (75% of workload)
- Manage webpage content and build and manage SharePoint sites related to key internal and external programs.
- Drive and execute web strategy for program webpages related to fellowship programs including ability to impact creative, layout, and editorial strategy as well as day-to-day management of content.
- On-site, day-of support of first party events with internal and external audiences.
- Interface with the internal stakeholders and manage professional interactions while driving successful delivery of outcomes.
- Respond to emerging and dynamic needs; make thoughtful tactical decisions and requests for information on behalf of the customers based on understanding of programs.
- Manage the day-to-day communication strategy and execution with our external communities inclusive of ownership of a mailbox, webpage updates to FAQ, and other strategic processes that ensure clear, timely communication of key information.
- Own reporting structures and cadences to continuously analyze data to report insights and learnings to support future evolutions of program growth.
- Foster an inspiring, inclusive, and high-performing community culture with team collaboration and positive relationships to work effectively with internal and external customers and partners.
- Partner with support staff across the organization to ensure consistent experiences.
- Drive impact through project / program management of other internal and external programs in the Community Engagement portfolio. (25% of workload)
- Own, develop, and execute strategy for our application management process for the fellowship programs including platform research, production, configuration, deployment, quality assurance, and process documentation across a myriad of stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong customer service, stakeholder communication, and project management capabilities.
- Ability to manage sensitive questions from customers (recipients/applicants) with tact and professionalism.
- 5+ years of professional experience supporting business initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong business ownership instincts with ability to execute and think strategically and autonomously.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, or related field AND 3+ years in project/ program management capacity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Curiosity and growth mindset to learn new technical concepts and skills.
- Sound business judgement and ability to think critically and strategically about challenges and opportunities.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, navigate uncertain situations, and drive for clarity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft productivity software including Outlook, SharePoint, One Note, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, WordPress, WizeHive (or similar application management platform) etc.
- Excellent skills in all aspects of planning, collaboration, analytical capabilities, and high level of attention to detail.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, with an ability to assess and manage the scope of projects.
- Professional experience in technology industry and/or academia.
- Professional experience in or curiosity for academic grants/fellowships space .
- Experience supporting strategy and execution in the events space.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $52.59 - $58.43 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
