Performance Editor Jobs

The Performance Editor will track and analyze various inputs for the Yahoo Finance newsroom, analyze that information, and provide both visibility and direction for content creation to increase overall performance.

Responsibilities:

• Work with various teams at Yahoo to translate and operationalize relevant information to add insights into day-to-day editorial operations.
• Provide daily and ad hoc analysis on content creation and distribution choices so that leaders can adjust dynamically and opportunistically as major topics emerge.
• Handle hyper-specific requests from the newsroom to help improve performance.
• Work with social media editors to track, analyze, and operationalize relevant information.
• Develop a cadence for analyzing and reporting actionable information to editors and leaders about various editorial operations.
• Learn Yahoo Finance editorial routes from ideation to publication to better collaborate when responding to questions about editorial choices.
• Collaborate across the Yahoo Finance newsroom — Video, News, Evergreen, and Distribution (Social, Graphics, Front Page, etc) — to aid editorial decision making.

Required Qualifications:

• Passion for finance news and an interest in learning more about various subjects
• 5+ years experience working with editorial and/or social audience development at a media organization
• Comprehensive understanding of editorially-actionable information
• Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Editorial SEO experience is a plus
• B.A. preferred or equivalent job experience
• Proficiency in Excel and SQL
• Proficiency in Google Analytics and broader Google Suite

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,750.00 - $188,750.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
