We are seeking a Learning and Development Consultant who will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for our Financial Institution Bank Partners.
Ideally, you have experience (a) identifying performance gaps and opportunities within an organization or business line, (b) designing and facilitating high quality sales training programs that meet organizational strategic needs and improve sales team’s knowledge and skills (c) evaluating and reporting on sales teams performance to ensure employee adoption of training techniques and program effectiveness, (d) collaborating with stakeholders, leadership and SMEs to obtain appropriate business buy-in, as well as their input on course strategies, training methods and plans that meet that meet sales and revenue objectives.
Your impact
Training (45%)
  • Fulfill direct intake request for customized trainings using a variety of instructional techniques.
  • Conduct training on sales skills, products and learning technology programs.
  • Organize and implement the delivery of learning solutions including any re-training and upskilling actions necessary.
Consulting (20%)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain a strategic training plan which supports performance objectives and addresses identified gaps in skills and competencies.
  • Suggest improvements in existing training processes, courses and programs.
  • Promote a continuous improvement culture through the identification of gaps and opportunities in materials, methods, and technology.
Design (15%)
  • Produce physical and digital educational material (e.g., videos, case studies and job aids)
  • Develop and implement content for training programs, in collaboration with business line SMEs and stakeholders.
  • Identify and utilize in-house developmental/training program(s), as well as maintain relationships with internal and external learning and creative vendors and resources.
  • Prepare and develop program plans and timelines for implementation of in-person, virtual or e-learning trainings.
Reporting (10%)
  • Consult with management on program effectiveness.
  • Observes sales encounters and collect feedback, attendance, results, and performance data from trainees after sessions.
  • Track and measure program effectiveness, ROI and progress against training needs and organization strategy and revenue objectives
Administrative (10%)
  • Keep project status, timelines and strategies up to date.
  • Schedule classes, set up systems and equipment and coordinate enrollment.
  • Maintain updated records of training materials and curriculum.
  • Collaborate with communication department to ensure availability of programs are promoted and communicated effectively to impacted employees.
  • Manage your individual program budget(s) and ensure alignment with team forecasting plan.
Basic Qualifications
  • Eight or more years of learning and development, HR, business, or managerial experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Required Skills And Experience
  • Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across multiple business lines, external trainers and industry professionals.
  • Experience with adult learning theory, coaching, and sales methodologies
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales training, education, HR, instructional design, learning experience design, banking/finance, or a related area.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other course software
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, analytical, problem solving, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills And Experience
  • Experience in Salesforce, Seismic and Lessonly
  • Experience with LMS content, course build, and admin responsibilities is strongly preferred.Knowledge of or experience in the fintech, banking/financial industry
  • Merchant Processing/Payment Solutions knowledge and sales expertise
  • Training or Human Resources Professional Certification (CPTD, APTD, etc.)

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,230.00 - $123,800.00 - $136,180.00
