Job Title: Payroll & Timecard Analyst

Pay Rate: $21 -$31/hr, based on relevant experience

Location: Remote anywhere in the U.S. (MUST WORK PST HOURS - PHX candidates preferred)

Contract: 6 - month W2 contract with potential to extend or convert

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 40 hrs/week

We’re partnering with a well-known self driving car company who's looking for a Payroll & Timecard Analyst to join their team in a remote capacity!

Responsibilities:

• Support processing of multi-state domestic timesheets and biweekly payroll for 3,000+ employees, including off-cycle payments as needed, and support global payroll and WFM as the company scales
• Maintain and audit records, and support reporting for employees, partner teams, and external audits as required - some periodic, some ad hoc
• Support period-end processing and reporting (communications, W-2s & W-2Cs, tax calculations / filings / payments / documentation, etc)
• Process employee data (new hires, terminations, compensation changes, benefit deductions, tax changes, garnishments, relocations, accrued vacation, leave of absence) to ensure employees’ time records, earnings, and deductions are accurate - including validating employee data received from partner teams
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned
• Respond to email enquiries from employees, partner teams, and outside contacts as needed
• Complete reconciliations of processed work
• Participate in enhancement of processes to support company growth, and coordinate with cross-functional partners to develop and improve processes overall
• Support processing of quarterly equity payrolls and annual bonus payrolls, plus additional off-cycle payrolls as needed

Basic requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment
• Proficiency in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, basic formulas, etc)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with individuals of all levels
• 1 to 3 years experience with finance operations (ie Payroll, WFM)
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Self-starter and team player - ability to work independently and also with cross-collaborative partner teams
• Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly
• Strong sense of integrity and personal responsibility
