The Team

With innovative and exciting operational initiatives, the Authentication Operations team is a fast-paced and passion-filled team to be a part of. This team has successfully launched watches, handbags, sneakers, trading card, and apparel authentication in the US, CA, AU, UK and DE in under three years. We are a group of diverse teammates who together make a complete business unit and are seeking a strategic lead to plan our future business plans.

The Role

You will be joining the Authentication team as the Manager of Partner Operations, with the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on numerous partnerships critical to eBay’s strategy. In this role, you will manage the operational performance of a network of authentication partners globally. You will be the operational lead for all partner setups and launches of new projects/ locations, remain their point of contact within Ebay for all operational areas, track vendor compliance, and find operational efficiencies to improve the Ebay buyer and seller experience of Authenticity Guarantee.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Program Managers to maintain up to date SOP’s and operating documentation for each program
• Escalate operational issues through executive updates to management, and lead through to resolution with partner to minimize impact to eBay customers
• Work closely with partners to develop and manage to KPI’s
• Liaise with Ebay Facilities Performance Management team to design, replicate and implement best practices at partner sites
• Strong Cross Functional partnership with operational performance management team for standardized processes
• Develop and rollout ongoing new, horizontal operational processes and changes at partner sites as needed
• Develop and manage relationships with on-site Operations Managers at each auth partner location
• Develop partner compliance scorecard against KPI’s, rollout to all partners, and report out on quarterly
• Manage operational relationships and planning with the following Ebay partners globally: CCG, PSA, GIA, Stoll, and any future authentication providers
• Responsible for collecting and validating partner business continuity plans annually
• Visit all partner sites quarterly with detailed and organized agendas, and provide recaps of progress made and opportunities identified
• Deliver weekly updates with partner performance and tracking to continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify operational continuous improvement initiatives and report qualitative and quantitative successes annually or quarterly
• Lead operational setup of new partner launches by collaborating with vendor and eBay facilities team to create efficient floorplan, equipment, staffing

Requirements

• 8+ years operations experience setting up, running and improving efficiency of operations
• Sense of urgency to close operational issues as quickly as possible when they arise
• Ability to work independently including travel
• Builds strong, professional relationships with vendors by spending time on site, assisting with both planned and unexpected issues, and providing operational support
• 50% travel to all sites with global partner operations
• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple business demands, projects and partners
• Curiosity and eagerness to evolve programs and operations to continuously improve
• Proven record of launching operations and making continuous improvements for operational efficiency

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

$106,800 - $162,800

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
