The Manager Partner Business Development supports our Purpose by managing existing standalone hotel, rental car, and vacation package partnerships. This role maintains a robust pipeline of potential partners across markets and works closely with various Teams throughout the Company to monitor partnerships. The Manager Partner Business Development is organized and a skilled communicator who is excited to lead and develop a Team.

Job Summary
The Manager Partner Business Development is responsible for managing existing standalone hotel, rental car, and vacation package products, associated partners, and revenue plans while also developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential partners across travel verticals. The role will manage a team and work closely with other members of the Travel Products organization and other departments such as Sourcing, Contract Management, Supply Chain Management, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Legal, and Customer Operations.

Guide and lead team members using SWA talent management practices to coach, develop, and engage employees

Responsibilities
Collaborate with Travel Product Teams to help set up/maintain partners in any required technology system(s)
Conduct and direct scan of potential cross-market partners, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and fulfillment of gaps within Travel Products
Build and maintain relationships with cross-market partners and suppliers, including lodging, ground transportation, and experiences
Lead negotiations with these partners as needed, including designing and developing partnership objectives
Manage a team that monitors partner performance KPIs and provides insights into cross-market partner performance
Collaborate with partners to improve performance and maximize the relationship for Southwest
Work with other Travel Product Teams such as product design, Marketing, and Customer Ops
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of hotels, rental car, vacation package, and online travel agencies
Knowledge of Corporate financial analysis and financial statements
Skilled in developing and delivering presentations to Senior Leadership
Skilled in analytics and working with spreadsheets or other quantitative modeling
Skilled in working closely and effectively with external stakeholders
Ability to lead discussions with stakeholders from multiple backgrounds that may have conflicting priorities
Ability to be highly responsive and adaptable to efficiently manage quick-turn Executive-level requests
Ability to align multiple parties with conflicting and/or diverse viewpoints to the direction of specific initiatives
Ability to work in stressful situations with tight deadlines and competing priorities while managing time effectively

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $118,600 - $131,800 per year * depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company. Benefits you’ll love:
