Job Summary

Industry leading, very ruptable and well establishedn Fortune 500 manufacturer is looking for a promotable Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a day shift M-F position.

This role comes with a very competitive compensation plan commensurate with experience with a base salary ranging going upto $90k plus an annual 15% bonus that pays quarterly.

Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities

Promote a positive work culture by being a role model for communication, safety, teamwork and education

• Contractor Interface-Select, procure, evaluate, and supervise contractor services for mechanical systems
• Vendor Interface-Select, purchase (based on need, cost, quality, risk), and evaluate equipment and components, both new and repair
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining all required parts and supplies
• Work with other mechanical project engineers, electrical maintenance, and operating personnel to reduce delays, costs, and improve area reliability
• Respond to breakdowns & assist in troubleshooting
• Leadership, development, and training of all MTM's (Maintenance Technician - Mechanical) in the assigned area
• Safety & environmental tracking and compliance
• Responsible for maintenance of environmental and water systems in area assigned
• Create procedures for working on & maintaining the equipment

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related field) or - At least 2 years' experience in heavy industrial industry or the military, working with skilled craft workers in a union environment

• Mechanical maintenance aptitude, strong leadership/team skills
• Computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, and exposure to databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of mill mechanical systems (i.e. gearing, bearings, hydraulics, lubrication, welding & fabricating, ripping, pumps, piping, etc.)
• Working knowledge of electronics, electrical, fluency with computers, PLC's, and Electronic Drives
• Previous precipitator, baghouse, & water system experience
• Previous BOF, LMF and Casting experience
• 5 years' supervisory or project management experience in heavy industrial industry or the military
