Job Description
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

We are seeking an Engineering Manufacturing Technician to join our Pressure Vessel team at Anduril. Here you will work on cutting-edge technology aimed at advancing the state-of-the-possible in subsea robotics. You will play a key role in delivering our AUVs to our customers by working hands-on with our engineering team on a multi-disciplinary environment to scale our AUV production globally. This role will include building complex electromechanical assemblies and integrating them into the final product!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Fabricate complex wire harnesses, solder electronic modules (including PCBAs), and modify COTS componentry
  • Build, test, and integrate complex electrical and mechanical assemblies into our world class AUVs
  • Support management of tools, equipment, and lab supplies (maintenance, calibrations, raw material stock)
  • Work within a team of multidisciplinary engineers and operations team on pressure vessel fabrication and assembly as part overall AUV production integration
  • Design, prototype, and scale manufacturing jigs and fixtures to improve build and test efficiency
  • 5S work areas, perform part inspections, close out work order, and follow safety best practices
  • Potential of traveling offshore to support our operations team.
  • Help develop, document, and improve the pressure vessel production process
  • Follow detailed electrical and manufacturing documentation to build to engineering specifications
  • Perform configuration tasks to flash/load correct SW/FW versions onto devices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong sense of urgency and enthusiasm, un-phased pushing outside of comfort zone
  • Commitment to a high-quality product and strong sense of personal ownership over work product
  • Comfortable working independently off detailed technical documentation (system wire diagrams, cable schematics, mechanical assembly drawings, vendor specs, etc.)
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering principals and concepts
  • Capable of carrying out detailed electro-mechanical assembly work with tight-tolerance components/enclosures and complex wire routings
  • 5+ years experience in AUV or applicable field (robotics, aerospace, medical) as an electric / electro-mechanical technician
  • Works well within a team dynamic and has good verbal / written communication and computer skills
  • Must be able to lift, carry or otherwise move 25/50/80 pounds regularly
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
  • Good understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles and product life cycles (R&D to scaled production)
  • Extremely organized and results-oriented work ethic
  • Ability to perform electrical debug including use of tools such as a digital multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.
  • Strong experience working with printed circuit boards (PCBAs) and wiring harness manufacturing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with electrical systems up to 400VDc
  • IPC 610 and/or 620 Certification
  • Subsea cable splicing or fabrication experience
  • Experience in sub-sea robotics (AUVs, UUVs, underwater equipment)
  • Experience with pressure vessels and/or pressure systems/equipment
  • Prior experience working with JIRA, Teamcenter (PLM), or NetSuite (ERP) or equivalents
$28 - $49 an hour
