Air Products and Chemicals, a world-leading manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician at its Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This position will require mechanical, electrical and electronics maintenance and troubleshooting experience to install, maintain and repair building equipment and systems.
The Facilities Services department has responsibility for the operation and maintenance of equipment related to heating, ventilation and air conditioning, water, industrial electrical distribution, fire protection systems, sewage systems, and general building maintenance. Additionally, services are provided to other corporate groups including moving, rearrangement of office partitions, installation of specialized equipment, etc.
Principle Accountabilities

• Supports Maintenance Technician Position as directed by Supervisors
• Read and Interpret drawings, blueprints, and other building/system schematics
• Repair and perform predictive and preventative equipment maintenance demonstrating both mechanical and electrical knowledge related to control systems, schematics, General Electric equipment, power distribution, power supply, drive, ac/dc motors, computer & PLC Hardware
• Utilize Building Automation System to review run conditions, troubleshoot alarms, adjust set points, and tend to occupant comfort concerns.
• Preform Electrical troubleshooting for low and medium voltage equipment, including controls equipment. Complete lighting repairs, adjust and calibrate wireless sensors, change smoke detectors, and preform generator run tests.
• Troubleshoot and repair building mechanical systems to include pumps, air handlers, exhaust fans, plumbing & HVAC piping systems, automatic doors, plumbing fixtures, etc.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Ability to maintain certification to issue Safety Work Permits Required
• Must be comfortable accessing facility roof, using extension ladders, man lifts and scissor lifts.

• Able to read, make and modify electrical line diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• VFD, PLC and sequential programming devices experience
• 4+ years industrial electro-mechanical experience in lieu of degree
• Associates Degree in Electro-Mechanics or similar study preferred
• 5+ years’ experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and shop tools
• Advanced knowledge of AC and DC motor drive controls
• Ability to operate a Forklift
• Ability to lift over 50lbs on a consistent basis
