Main Purpose Of Job

• Able to coach and mentor Planners and Sr Planners
• Determines sites capacity, production and revenue plan (Master Scheduler) and owns the system setup to drive the plan.
• Drives planning process improvements
• Able to manage a small set of customer accounts
• Site lead for the SIOP Process

Main Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for working with assigned work center supervisors in the proper tracking and reporting of schedule attainment. OTD (on time delivery)
• Develop and monitor site consensus forecast
• For limited set of customers:
• Roll up financial revenue forecast based on customer demand, site capacity and material availability.
• Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Schedule (MPS). Identify gaps and drive solutions, including metrics for production performance according to the requested production plan.
• Lead multi-functional teams with personnel from different departments.
• Work closely with purchasing to analyze inventory levels and product demand to ensure product availability.
• Establish cadence to ensure accuracy on item master planning data for manufacturing items.
• Establish/define and monitor inventory targets for all make items.
• Review Work in Process & Finished Goods inventory status, provide information on the status.
• Coordinate and determine finished goods and sub-assemblies for production, track jobs to provide release dates of finished goods for customer service (or customer)
• Work closely with purchasing to analyze inventory levels and product demand to ensure product availability.
• Follow all reporting and documentation as required by established policies, practices and procedure
• Provide reports and report analysis of production, including analysis of on time vs. late deliveries
• Plan for and complete production scheduling for all make-to-stock and make-to-order products
• Lead SIOP Conversations with customers and internally for the site
• Implement continuous improvement opportunities to planning processes and system solutions that support the supply chain stakeholders.
• Lead daily production meetings, presenting updated master production schedules and making the necessary adjustments to keep the plan accurate and updated
• Create work orders in support of on-time delivery objectives
• Develop, plan and execute the master production schedule based on actual and forecasted customer demand for all Made to order and Made to stock products considering capacity utilization and optimizing inventory levels. (including forecast load)

Position Requirements

Knowledge/Education:

• Able to identify and troubleshoot system issues
• Expert with Microsoft Office Applications (specifically for Excel, needs to be work well with PIVOT tables, VLOOKUPS, preferably knowledge on Macros/Power Query)
• Able to be site lead for system integrations
• Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Diploma Required
• Able to train Planners and Sr Planners in correct system usage and concepts
• Experience using ERP and Advanced Planning Systems required. ORACLE / KINAXIS is preferred
• ASCM CSCP OR CPIM certification is a plus
• 5-7 yrs. working as Production Planner OR Production Planning Supervisor
• Uses systems/reports to identify and execute inventory opportunities
