ABOUT THE BAKER POSITION
We are looking for a Baker with a passion for seriously amazing food and divine hospitality experiences to join our team.
As our Baker, we’ll look to you to work alongside the Team Lead to keep daily bakery operations running smoothly. Daily tasks include prepping and baking off daily pastries including cookies, scones, cakes, buttercreams, curds, fillings, and focaccia (to name a few), prepping and building custom cake orders, managing ingredient inventory, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and contributing to our menu development. As we are a new operation, this is your opportunity to help us test, evolve, and perfect our approach to running a smooth (and clean) kitchen operation and build a thoughtful, specialty menu.
Skills and qualities we expect you’ll bring to the table:
- High levels of cleanliness and organization
- A commitment to kindness, curiosity, and leaving things a little bit better than you found it
- Great communication skills
- Flexibility (lots of this, too!)
- An eye for detail
- Desire to lean and grow both professionally and personally
- Genuine excitement for food, beverage, and baked goods
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- 2+ years of experience in a commercial bakery or restaurant environment
- Ability to multitask and think on your feet
- Creativity (lots of it)
