Production Scheduler Jobs

Flexan is a global strategic contract manufacturer of custom high-quality silicone and thermoplastic components, sub-assemblies and devices designed to meet the critical requirements of Class I, Class II and Class III medical devices, as well as custom compounding and molding for precision parts.

The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing the weekly and daily schedules to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. The qualified individual will be responsible for providing the plant with production schedules consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectations.

• Follow all Flexan procedures for creation and maintaining of min/max & safety stock levels for finished goods and work in process.
• Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation
• Interacts with production management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Customer Service and Accounting.
• Creates production schedule and prioritizes work orders for production optimization from raw material purchasing to shipment.
• Process all work order releases in ERP System including the creation, release, monitoring, and completion.

• Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand. Includes analysis of scrap, productivity and yield data to make recommendations for optimization or problem solving.
• Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory.
• Develops and maintains long term production plan including the analysis of demand, forecasts, labor and equipment capacity, as well as makes recommendations for the optimization of resources

• Manage and conduct production meetings to ensure product movement and shipment on time to the customer.
• Works with customer service to confirm all Purchase Orders.
• May be asked to perform other duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency

REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTITUDES:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Communicates effectively with Flexan employees and management.
• Must be motivated and creative, work well under pressure and operate effectively in a fast paced team environment.
• Able to multitask
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office products
• Must meet internal deadlines
• Experience in ERP applications
• Willing and able to solve problems
• 3+ years of scheduling experience
• Follows through on tasks and projects as assigned
• Team player that gets along well with others (helps others by offering assistance and ideas when appropriate)
