Marketing Events Associate


We are looking for an Events Associate to join our Marketing division. In this role, the Marketing Events Associate will be responsible for executing the organization’s events based on the established strategy and goals of the event. This individual will work directly with marketing, sales and other departments within the organization as needed.


The Team: Our Marketing Events team is responsible for executing exceptional end to end events, for both internal and external audiences. Through a variety of event types, we bring our brand to life through experiential design. Producing events that provide a platform to accelerate growth, engage, build and strengthen our teams. Each event is strategically crafted to deliver on key goals and always underscores the mission of our organization and value that comes with being a part of our thriving athenahealth ecosystem.


Job Responsibilities


  • Proactively engage with direct and indirect sales teams to coordinate, communicate and optimize the impact of event activities
  • Collect and analyze event feedback to optimize future events
  • Event execution including overall project planning, menu design, travel and transportation logistics, coordinating with vendors, budget tracking, etc.
  • Collaborate with events leadership and marketing to ensure there is a cohesive pre-event, at-event and post-event strategy to increase engagement


Typical Qualifications


  • Two+ years of related experience
  • Planning/project management
  • Hands-on corporate event planning and logistics experience, ideally within the same or similar industry
  • Vendor management
  • Management of projects, budgets and resource allocation to support success and efficiency
  • Strong relationship builder with marketing and sales functions
  • Management of event communications to multiple complex stakeholder groups
