Manager, Operations Excellence Jobs

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Manager, Operations Excellence to join our team. Reporting to the VP, Operations Excellence, this position will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives across the supply chain, warehouse continuous improvement efforts, and developing and implementing planning, metrics, and reporting tools. This role also is also expected to aid in developing strategic initiatives by evaluating current processes to identify areas of opportunity. Approximately 25-35% travel expected, with some periods of increased travel based on project needs.

Ideal candidates will have 5-7 years of Supply Chain experience, specifically in procurement, continuous improvement, operations excellence, and project management. Candidates should also have an analytics and reporting background. Candidates must possess exceptional communication, teamwork, and leadership skills and a demonstrated background in developing metrics and analysis to understand performance. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required and experience with PowerBI is strongly preferred.

Manager, Operations Excellence:

• Lead and support strategic programs that will improve Utz’s Supply Chain capabilities.
• Stay up-to-date on latest warehouse technologies and provide input on business cases for automation and digital tools such as AGVs or Labor Management Systems.
• Liaise with key stakeholders across the Supply Chain organization to ensure buy-in and alignment for various initiatives.
• Assess operational processes and provide coaching, support, and follow-up to address any challenges.
• Develop KPIs, reporting, and planning tools to show progress of initiatives and support operational decision making.
• Interface as needed with 3PL partners to ensure desired performance and project outcomes.
• Provide project updates to senior leadership.

• Strong sense of urgency, ability to work with minimal direction.
• Experience developing metrics and analysis to understand project and operational performance.
• Power BI experience desired (or strong desire to learn).
• Experience utilizing WMS and associated data desired.
• 5-7 years of broad Supply Chain experience in areas such as Operations, Continuous Improvement, Operations Excellence, Project Management and/or Analytics and Reporting.
• Intermediate to expert Excel skills.
• Demonstrated project and program leadership skills with history of leading others outside direct span of control.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities.
