Position Description
The Manager of Business Development is responsible for setting strategies, managing goals and performance, driving operations and business collaboration in renewable energy industry related with hardware and software. This role will be focused on developing and implementing Virtual Power Plant programs.
The position will be also responsible for cooperating with every party including R&D team and supply partners for market success and rapid deployment of Qcells products. This specific role is to envision a new game changer product and services to US customers. This role is also highly cross-functional and requires influencing executive leadership across Qcells.
This role is Hybrid in the San Francisco CA office. Relocation is available if needed.

Responsibilities
- Research and analysis of home construction, PV, ESS, and software market trends and customers for the US Market
- Leading sales strategy collaborating with sales department with internal and external research and analysis
- Setting and managing Residential solar project’s Business Plans of P&L, Budget, Capital Asset
- To make strategic partnership for renewable energy market competency reinforcement
- Must be self-motivated, creative, and possess strategic planning skills
- PV and roofing industry related experience preferred
- Track record of influencing high-performance, nimble, and analytically rigorous teams
- Experience in business communications, business tools, or two-sided markets
- Track record of excellence in Project management or Business Development
- Working knowledge of wholesale power markets, including capacity, energy, and ancillary service markets and their participation rules.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Collaborative and process-oriented
- 5+ years of experience in business development or relevant career
- Bachelor's degree in business or engineering or equivalent in working experience demonstrating evidence of excellence
- Must have experience in the Energy or Solar Industry
- Understanding of distributed energy industry, technologies, and project development
- Understanding of Roofing or new home build industry
- Previous experience with residential and/or C&I solar or ESS business, utility incentive programs, and/or virtual power plant (VPP) or DERMS software platforms.
- Experience driving innovation at a leading tech company
- Experience in the Energy or Solar Industry developing and implementing Virtual Power Plant programs.
