Manager, Energy Project Development (Remote Eligible)

Outcomes You'll Deliver:

• Serve as the main point of contact on our team for Energy project information
• Lead due diligence on EV charging sites, including GIS mapping, site selection, zoning and permitting, interconnection, utility rate tariffs, incentives, financial modeling, etc.
• Oversee project tracking database updates and reporting
• Regularly report comprehensive project statuses (schedule, budget, QA/QC, etc.) to management
• Manage a Project Development Associate(s) and source and manage external consultants to support project development activities
• Represent Inspiration at conferences and other public speaking engagements
• Manage the development of multiple EV charging projects from site selection through commissioning
• Support the development and management of mapping database for integrated site selection and development activities

Who You Are:

• You have domain expertise and experience in one or more of the following sectors: i) fleet management / vehicle leasing or finance, ii) clean energy / renewables /sustainability, iii) asset investment / private credit / project finance. If you have experience in more than one of these domains, even better!
• You have experience with geospatial mapping and CAD tools such as Google Earth, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD
• You understand energy project development processes, including utilities, permitting, site control, engineering, construction, etc.
• You have a proven track record working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to balance multiple commitments while delivering high-quality work
• You have 5+ years of experience in project development or project management in one or more of the following domains: renewable energy development, vehicle electrification, and/or EV charging infrastructure
• You have experience with energy modeling tools such as Aurora and Energy Toolbase
• You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in a related field (such as engineering, business, energy, environmental science)
• You are organized, diligent, persistent, and enjoy hitting projects out of the park
