Senior Project Manager, Energy Storage

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing EPC Contractor and Equipment Supplier obligations, including tracking deliverables, schedules, cash flow, change orders, and dispute resolution if necessary.
• Organizing and overseeing regularly scheduled project meetings, communication, and status updates, as well as delegating project tasks.
• Working closely with Procurement to understand long-lead equipment requirements and ensure accurate scheduling and budgeting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Efficiently coordinating and sharing information within a multidisciplinary project team.
• Ensuring compliance with project obligations, including Power Purchase Agreements, Interconnection Agreements, Land Use Permits, and Land Owner Leases.
• Identifying potential project risks and working with internal and external stakeholders to establish mitigation plans when necessary, to uphold project schedules and budgets.
• Enhancing and developing project management tools and processes.
• Leading the EPC contract negotiation, with legal and EPC Contracting support, to ensure schedule and cost feasibility.
• Managing deliverables from the Owner’s Engineer.
• Collaborating with the Development team to ensure smooth project transition through construction and financial close-out stages.
• Maintaining positive relationships with landowners, regulatory authorities, utilities, and third parties.
• Coordinating Operations and Maintenance contract handoff and ensuring EPC contract closeout at Final Acceptance.
• Managing multiple projects independently and professionally under pressure, ensuring on-time project delivery.
• Presenting project status, health, cash flow, schedule, and risks to management.

Skills and Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in renewables or construction project management.
• Ability to travel, averaging 25%
• Expertise in standalone BESS design and construction and proficient understanding of the entire BESS project lifecycle.
• Completion of PMP study or similar coursework in project management principles.
• Familiarity with the High Voltage Interconnection aspects of project Statements of Work.
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or equivalent.
