Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group and an internationally esteemed law firm are in search for a Legal Administrator for their Washington DC office. This legal professional will support two partners on tasks from billing, expensing, and document processing. Responsibilities:
- Enter and track attorney expense reports and reimbursements.
- Open new matters for clients.
- Apply corporate styles, template-based formatting, and editing to ensure consistency and quality in all final products.
- Enter attorney time entries and billing clients accurately.
- Run redlines and track changes in documents.
- Redact and extract material from pdf documents.
- Prepare responsive discovery documents after they have been converted to Word documents.
- Transcription of digital recordings and dictations, revisions, and final preparation of letters, memos, patent and trademark documents, litigation documents, chemical drawings, tables, collateral marketing materials, and forms.
- Convert pdf documents to Word documents.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Ability to accomplish tasks quickly and thoroughly with a high degree of accuracy and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to redline and blackline documents.
- Ability to test at 60 WPM with little to no spelling and grammar issues.
- High school diploma or GED required. College coursework and/or legal secretarial field or an equivalent combination of experience/training in other non-related fields is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a legal or real estate firm.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
