Job Description
Job Summary

  • Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
  • As directed, consolidate sourcing activities for assigned product lines.
  • Maintaining contract files that would contain the following: contract and any modifications, all contract correspondence, records, memos and conversations with the manufacturer, rebate checks, meeting minutes.
  • Solicit and evaluate proposals employing appropriate negotiation, cost and total cost analysis techniques, using available expertise from supporting departments.
  • Evaluate current purchasing requirements to determine potential sources and stimulate competition.
  • Implement purchase contracts following applicable company and government regulations.
  • Assists in the resolutions of supply problems to ensure uninterrupted service to the field organization.
  • Achieve lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs.
  • Serves in an advisory capacity to field locations to support local/regional demand.
  • Perform continual market analysis and monitor supplier progress.


Minimum Required Qualifications


  • At least five years related experience is required.
  • Education or experience equivalent to a four year college degree is required.

Compensation


  • Compensation is commensurate with experience
  • Annual compensation is based on a 40 hour week
