Legal And Compliance Analyst – Paralegal

Our client, a leading venture capital firm, seeks a legal and compliance analyst (paralegal) for a temporary project lasting two to four months. The role is fully remote and part time (20-30 hours/week).

The paralegal will be responsible for providing operational and legal support for the head of legal and compliance and other members of the legal team. This position is an integral part of the legal team, working independently as its primary point of contact and working cross-functionally with the firm’s other teams.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage compliance and legal projects, serving as the primary point of contact for such projects.
• Work with the head of legal to review NDAs, event contracts, board and stockholder consents, and vendor contacts.
• Working closely with the head of legal and outside law firms on a full range of legal matters, including venture financing closings, SEC and other regulatory filings, and corporate entity management.
• Maintain the firm’s records for portfolio company financing, acquisitions, and funds.
• Maintain calendar of important filing and reporting deadlines.
• Effectively communicate with investment team professional, outside counsel, portfolio companies, and third parties.
• Create matrices and trackers for compliance-related matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal or other legal team support with a background in corporate governance, venture financing, or related field.

Rate: $44-$48/hour depending on experience.
