Job Description
Summary The Learning Program Manager will be accountable for the management, and delivery of specific courses within GE Aerospace’s leadership curriculum, serving GE Aerospace’s leaders from entry level through early executive around the world. In this role, you will be responsible for expert support and management of end-to-end quality for all learning programs and related processes, while also continuously improving our exceptional leadership development offerings.

Essential Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement learning / ad hoc interventions for internal and external audiences, as required.
  • Reporting throughput activity to key stakeholders / HR partners, including result stories / testimonials for communications
  • Monitoring course enrollments and working with Training Ops to adjust calendar as needed
  • Updating course flyers and GE Learning linkages, making leadership learning resources available to Learning / Talent / HR partners
  • Try storming resource promotion techniques to raise enrollments / adoption rates
  • Identify, assess and select internal/external faculty; manage instructor certifications using objective assessment criteria, being able to make the tough calls on individual performance while honoring certification requirements.
  • Liaise with GE Aerospace Global Learning colleagues and functional program managers to ensure a multicultural and multifunctional experience is achieved.
  • Drive adoption of leadership learning resources
  • Onboarding new faculty as needed
  • Benchmark internal and external L&D trends, with a particular emphasis on technology and blended learning solutions.
  • Annual scheduling and promotion of courses with HR partners (and via Regional Leads)
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify emerging trends and learning opportunities.
  • Support the design, development and delivery of robust and scalable programs for GE Aerospace leaders around the world.
  • Raise delivery quality through periodic facilitator observation and feedback, monitoring quality metrics (participation rates, MTM surveys, NovoEd course submissions, employee attrition rates and engagement scores) and soliciting VOC directly from participating leaders, their directs, people leaders, etc.
  • Calculating annual vendor requirements for Training Operations to contract
  • Optimize training budget, achieve quarterly and annual financial targets.
  • Identify, assess, and select internal/external faculty; manage instructor certifications using objective assessment criteria, being able to make the tough calls on individual performance while honoring certification requirements
  • Facilitate / co-facilitate learning solutions, in-class interactions and/or activities in support of ongoing program continuous improvement (in person and virtual learning events)
  • Support on pre and post event write-ups/commentary to promote Learning & Development efforts.
  • Support design by project managing new course designs and by partnering with leadership and learning solutions on any required course updates
  • Develop and track metrics to assess impact of training efforts; utilize feedback to continuously improve the programs
  • Obtain master trainer status for relevant courses.


Qualifications/ Requirements


  • Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) approximately 30% time
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of relevant experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated success in development (including instructional design) and delivery (both classroom and technology based methodologies) of leadership programs

  • Prior experience in a significant L&D role with a large, multi-location business.
  • Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge and develop others through coaching and mentoring  
  • Prior experience with technology and flexible learning solutions
  • Previously obtained master trainer certification for 2 or more courses
  • Strong leadership skills 
  • Energy and thirst for organizational and personal learning and development.
  • Large constituent base of external learning and development sources from which to draw new trends and ideas
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency to achieve measurable outcomes. Is self-directed, drives ideas to action and is known for getting things done.
  • Ability to work under broad or limited supervision
  • Ability to adapt to different styles and effectively operate in a multicultural team; worked/lived in multiple countries.
  • Proven experience in building relationships with senior HR and Business leaders, facilitating large complex groups, creating metrics to measure success of L&D programs, analyzing customers results and measurably improving existing programs, and developing and managing budgets.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs ; established project management skills 
  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Good Excel, Word and PowerPoint; quick adaptability to systems, tools and processes
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; articulate, adaptable, with excellent inter-personal and cross-cultural skills
