Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY

This role is a unique opportunity to transform and influence the learning landscape within Pfizer Compliance. Driven by forward-thinking leadership, the Compliance Training team develops highly visible, critical training and messaging that reaches global audiences of 100,000+ people.
The Director position is responsible for understanding training needs within the organization, thinking strategically about how to deliver on stakeholder requests, and develop innovative, creative resources to address identified needs. This role will develop and rollout Compliance trainings and communications (US and global) in line with the team’s broader mission and strategy.
The ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to transform lengthy, complex information into digestible learning content for various audiences and innovative ideas on how to use various training modalities for multiple learning styles (including e-learning and microlearning strategies, implementation of adult learning practices, content writing, visual design, etc.). This role also requires strong project management skills to ensure workstreams stay on track and meet expectations, as well as an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members and business and policy stakeholders across the organization. Strategic vision and execution are critical to ensure deliverables align to enterprise priorities and strategies and enable successful implementation at global, regional, and market levels as needed. Visual design, PowerPoint expertise, and deliverable packaging will also be critical to success in this role.
  • Identify opportunities for modernization, innovation, and creative engagement within ongoing training and communications projects
  • Serve as e-learning and training design / development thought leader; stay current with e-learning trends and best practices
  • Support development of presentations and communications as needed; develop design-forward resources that complement core training modules
  • Support other Training and Communications team members as needed with execution of ad-hoc projects
  • Provide strategic guidance and advisory support on design of individual training initiatives as well as overall team strategy and roadmap
  • Lead the design and develop training and communications content in collaboration with business / policy SMEs; ensure key policy information is communicated in an engaging, learner-friendly format; and build consensus among cross-functional stakeholders to achieve learning objectives
  • Research and establish partnerships with innovative and effective content development vendors
  • Understand and become familiar with relevant compliance policies and subject matter to enable effective writing and/or editing of training and communications materials
  • Oversee and manage the design and development of online training courses, videos, and other training materials (games, videos, quizzes, etc.) in support of identified business needs; closely manage training development vendors where applicable to ensure project is completed accurately, on-time, and in alignment with effective learning principles
  • Identify and develop new learning strategies and integrated learning and communications solutions in engaging formats to address emerging compliance risks
  • Evaluate training outcomes using data analytics and other relevant methodologies
QUALIFICATIONS
Must Have:
  • Must be capable of independently driving training strategy, design, and development to meet business needs; must be proactive in identifying, prioritizing, and addressing/resolving issues that impact project success
  • 10+ years of learning strategy / training design and development experience
  • Excellent written communication and proofreading/editing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • Strong teamwork and project management skills; must be able to coordinate and build consensus among multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Must be a self-starter who is comfortable adapting to unexpected demands with tight timelines; team player
  • Must be able to effectively collaborate with and manage a variety of training development vendors, internal resources and consultants to ensure project success
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and lead with indirect authority
  • Excellent presentation skills sufficient to address Leadership audiences
  • Must be able to create effective PowerPoint presentations and communications; strong visual design skills required
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
  • Instructional design expertise with ability to develop learning strategy and solutions based on modern adult learning principles and e-learning best practices
  • Strong command of English language, verbal and written
  • Ability to work with complex information and large data sets and distill to determine priority training and communication focus areas
  • Experience implementing learning solutions on a global scale with multiple stakeholders and in multiple languages
Nice To Have:
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Learning and Development, Training or related field
  • Experience with Adobe Software, Articulate Software, and other design programs and course authoring tools
  • 3+ years of strategic consulting experience strongly preferred

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $144,900.00 to $241,500.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.
Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
