Responsibilities
Summary:
As a Training & Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating virtual instructor-led training for both new hires and existing contact center associates. Your responsibilities will encompass recording and communicating training progress, attendance, and activities. You will also actively participate in the development and enhancement of training materials, instructing a diverse range of curricula spanning various business units.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize diverse instructional techniques and formats, such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, discussions, videos, and lectures, to effectively convey information.
Conduct virtual classroom sessions across multiple time zones, accommodating EST, CST, and MST.
Evaluate learner progress through academic assessments, hands-on practice, and on-the-job training.
Collaborate with Instructional Designers to assess, update, and refine training materials.
Engage in work groups to identify knowledge gaps and propose targeted learning solutions.
Analyze training program records, including course evaluations and learner participation data, to recommend program enhancements.
Stay updated with industry developments by reading blogs, articles, joining professional associations, and engaging in peer learning.
Prepare for upcoming classes by reviewing course content, setting up class records in the Learning Management System (LMS), coordinating with Talent Acquisition (TA) and Human Resources (HR), and warmly welcoming learners.
Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including HR partners, frontline leaders, and subject-matter experts.
Maintain meticulous records of attendance, academic performance, and notable observations for each class.
Provide insightful updates on learner performance to relevant stakeholders.
Contribute to knowledge base upkeep by revising resources, addressing inaccuracies, and responding to inquiries.
Offer training support for business initiatives by conducting train-the-trainer sessions and coaching agents.
Potentially mentor fellow trainers, offering developmental feedback through observations and collaborative learning.
Assist in certifying other trainers to facilitate specific curricula through assessment and observation, using provided materials.
Qualifications
May be assigned additional responsibilities as needed.
Required Skills
Profound understanding of training strategies and principles, including adult learning theory, individual and group instruction, and training impact assessment.
Exceptional classroom management skills encompassing organization, time management, acknowledgment of learner achievements, and addressing inappropriate behavior.
High emotional intelligence, enabling you to gauge and adapt to the emotional state of individuals and groups, fostering trust through verbal and non-verbal communication.
Proficiency with virtual classroom tools such as Zoom and Microsoft applications including SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Strong written communication skills suitable for engaging with both senior business leaders and associates.
Physical Role Requirements
Periodic seated work at a computer, totaling up to eight hours per day.
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or repositioning of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Extended periods of sitting while utilizing office equipment like computers and phones.
Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers during regular work activities such as picking, pinching, and typing.
Minimum Education, Licensure, And Professional Certification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum Experience Required
At least 2 years of relevant experience.
