As a Lab Coordinator, Quality Lab you will create chemistry by……….
- Supporting a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with all relevant EHS regulations and procedures/policies.
- Communicating Operation’s prioritization needs to Lab Supervisors and lab technicians to ensure timely completion of lab samples.
- Acting as first point of contact with Operations, attending necessary daily and weekly production meetings, working to understand sample workload and prioritization needs.
- Along with other lab leadership, implementing methods and procedures designed to eliminate problems and improve data quality.
- Actively pursuing Digitalization opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Helping troubleshoot equipment and processes, ensuring Technicians are running the processes in the most efficient manner.
- Taking the lead to ensure customer complaints are investigated and resolved. This may include creating and/or investigating internal NCM’s.
- Being willing to fill in during scheduled and unscheduled absences.
- Working closely with the Lab Supervisors to provide guidance as they direct and coordinate activities concerned with testing of company product.
- Acting as first point of contact with CCP Operations, focusing on meeting term sheet requirements.
- Ensuring that needed materials are ordered in a timely manner.
- Participating in the interviewing and training of lab technicians: collaborating with lab supervisors as they plan, assign, and direct work.
- Assisting in planning and maintaining the Weekly and Daily Safe Schedule Attainment file.
- Working closely with other lab leadership in implementing improvements, MOC submissions, safety improvements, area planning, participate in team meetings.
- Addressing complaints and resolving issues as they arise from Operations.
- Gaining an understanding of business objectives and manufacturing operations and then applying this knowledge to ensuring consistency in providing lab services that meet both internal and external customer expectations.
- Helping set goals and objectives for the lab, focused on safety, quality, delivery, proficiency.

- High School Diploma/Equivalent required with at least 5 years of related experience within a Chemical Manufacturing Environment. College degree preferred.
- Excellent and proven interpersonal skills, ability to lead and influence others.
- Seen as someone that others feel comfortable bringing problems/opportunities to for investigation and resolution.
- Demonstrated success as a team player, one who fully cooperates without urging.
- Experience conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills and excellent math skills (LIMS, SAP).
- Knowledge of analytical instrumentation including ICP-OES, ICP-MS, XRF, XRD, surface and physical chemistry preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $80,000 - $105,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
