Position Description:
The individual will be primarily involved in managing the daily activities of a research laboratory. The person in this position will report directly to the PI and will function as the point person within the lab regarding all aspects of the laboratory operation. The lab manager will take responsibility for all aspects of the lab, included but not limited to: instruments/equipment, supplies, lab members, maintenance/housekeeping and lab safety. The person in this role will assist with research goals by supervising, planning and performing complex laboratory research and experiments in order to meet grant deadlines and help in the dissemination of scientific results. Duties include establishing SOP, overseeing/enforcing laboratory safety to ensure that the laboratory remains in compliance with safety standards and regulations, as well as, managing and updating chemical inventories. The individual will manage, assist and train students, staff and other lab members with research as needed.� Additionally, the lab manager will ensure that all lab members have been trained on the correct use of the lab equipment and will schedule safety training for new lab users and refresher trainings for lab members as needed. The individual will ensure that the laboratory has adequate supplies and properly maintain equipment. The candidate will be expected to design, conduct and analyze experiments in order to contribute to the advancement of multiple research projects.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in biology or biochemistry or related discipline

Target Compensation Maximum:
$72,826.00
Target Compensation Minimum:
$47,476.00
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
