Our exciting opportunity:
As part of continued growth of the Ericsson Smart Factory in Lewisville, Texas we are now looking for a Quality Supervisor to join our Quality Team. This individual will provide leadership and technical support for the factory site in the areas of Board, Product and Raw Material Inspection by maintaining inspection flow and coordinating output and results with Smart Factory.
You will:
- Implement and monitor control charts for inspection OPIs
- Manage the complete inspection process, supervising the work and time to complete
- Meet all efficiency targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) defined to the area
- Identify operational improvement opportunities, establish, and modify processes as needed
- Mentor, train, and manage direct reports
- Conduct root cause analysis of deviations on the inspection process and work with the team and contributing areas to improve reliability and performance
- Perform out of box audits and provide detailed report, when requested by the engineers
- Manage resource allocation for projects & operational volume support, stepping in as needed
- Oversee the continuous process control and improvements of daily tasks of the team
- Lead a team of quality inspectors to execute comprehensive inspection of 5G telecommunications product and its components
- Work directly with engineers, other supervisors, and management
To be successful in the role, you must have:
- BSEE/BSET degree in Engineering, electrical/electronics is preferred
- Ability to work extended or flexible hours when required
- Self-motivator, committed to providing high-quality work
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Mechanical experience is a plus for assembly and disassembly of finished products
- Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read PCB placement drawing and differentiate component type
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- IPC 610 training
- Ability to read technical specifications of electronic components and mechanical parts
- Extensive knowledge with sampling methods and inspection criteria
- Ability to coordinate improvements in the inspection routines to increase efficiency
- Minimum 3 years of related technical experience in electrical/electronics industry; including 1 year at the supervisory and/or management level
- Knowledgeable with Office tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
This role reports to the Quality Engineering Manager.
