Quality Technician Jobs

BASIC FUNCTION

The Quality Technician performs quality assurance functions involving incoming materials, in process materials, and final test inspection of finished products to meet quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Coordination of Corrective Actions for High RPN’s to PFMEA
• Organize material in main collection area. Perform basic inspection/validation of non-conformance
• Final inspection
  • Shipping Certificate of Conformance
  • Verify order compliance (certs, govt requirements/order requirements met)
  • Inspect complete product
• Receiving inspection
  • Material certification acceptance
  • PPAP verification using a wide variety of metrology tools
• Creation of Operator Training Videos
• First pass yield troubleshooting
  • Assist in resolving assembly/machining issues by using blue prints, measuring parts, determine root cause with path forward to correct
• PFMEA facilitation
• Control Plan Creation
• Non-conforming material
  • Organize material in main collection area. Perform basic inspection/validation of non-conformance
  • Data/entry/ disposition material as directed using reports
• Creation of detailed Operator Job Instructions (Visual)
• Shipping Certificate of Conformance
• Drive implementation of Process Controls at the manufacturing cells
  • Detailed Process Flow Charts (Maps)
  • PFMEA facilitation
  • Coordination of Corrective Actions for High RPN’s to PFMEA
  • Control Plan Creation
  • Creation of detailed Operator Job Instructions (Visual)
  • Creation of Operator Training Videos
  • Conduct gage R/R and capability studies as data suggests
• Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) programming and operation.
• Detailed Process Flow Charts (Maps)
• Inspect complete product
• Conduct internal process audits
• Conduct metrology training
• Material certification acceptance
• Verify order compliance (certs, govt requirements/order requirements met)
• PPAP verification using a wide variety of metrology tools
• Assist in resolving assembly/machining issues by using blue prints, measuring parts, determine root cause with path forward to correct
• Data/entry/ disposition material as directed using reports
• Conduct gage R/R and capability studies as data suggests

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 3 years of manufacturing experience (assembly or machining) desirable.
• Ability to break down problems into manageable and actionable components, poised to make progress on resolving issues.
• Ability to create and organize work instructions
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications and drawings
• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree or Manufacturing/ Quality Technical Certification preferred
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
• Advanced metrology skills required. Ability to teach new associates on a regular basis
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software,
• CMM programming/operation experience preferred.
• Troubleshooting and root cause identification capabilities.
• Natural sense of urgency
