ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and generate high quality instructional education material to convey complex and technical subjects in plain English (i.e. for speakers of English as a second or third language). This could include, for example, content, video scripts, presentation slides using required templates etc;
• Work with the ARC project team to ensure training design fits with the overall vision of the project and client.
• Help define learning objectives and key learning points, and ensure they are addressed by the learning solution, in conjunction with the ARC project team.
• Attend ARC learning design meetings and refine the raw content required.
• Develop training modules that meet key learning objectives suited to target audience needs. Modules need to be succinct, easy to follow, formatted according to self-learning and adult learning principles in order to engage and motivate the end users
• Conduct own research to further understand learner and client requirements for each learning programme
• Manage strict deadlines whilst ensuring a quality end-user experience.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Highly organized teamplayer, who is adaptable and attentive to detail
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills in English, including writing and editing
• Experience in teaching or training of adults and curriculum development
• Committed to meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
• An interest in international development and humanitarian affairs is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of qualifications in education, international development or related
• Innovative and willing to creatively use graphics, animations, interactions, audio and video to improve learning outcomes
• Willing to explore the use of new technologies, apply these technologies where applicable and assist with creative solutions for contexts where connectivity is challenged
• Able to use MS office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Familiarity with Articulate 360 and other e-Learning authoring and communications tools as well as digital collaboration/training tools would be desirable
