It Security Analyst Ii

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and five years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

• Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery planning
• Ability to operate computer keyboards and to install computer hardware.
• Industry information security certification or capability of obtaining certification.
• Prior experience with specific systems, equipment and software may be specified as needed by department.
• Knowledge of information security practices and principles
• Ability to assimilate, retain and utilize technical and applications-oriented information.

• Assesses business services for compliance with external frameworks

• Measures organizational compliance with internal policies and procedures

• Develops procedures and standards in support of IT compliance requirements for information technology resources

• Supports audit and IT responses

• Analyzes legislative bills and laws for application and adoption

• Works with state of Texas and federal agencies to ensure compliance with regulations

• Supports establishment of compliance monitoring services

• Supports IT policy development, planning, assessment, and administration

• Supports day-to-day operations of electronic information resources accessibility program
